More new Fellows

We are delighted to announce the election of a further two academics who will join the college’s Fellowship in Michaelmas term:
Economics: Dr Teodora Boneva
Originally from Germany, Dr Boneva graduated from the University of Mannheim with distinction before moving to Cambridge where she studied for an MPhil and later PhD in Economics. Her research focusses on Applied Microeconomics and Labor Economics, with additional interests in Behavioural and Experimental Economics. She is currently investigating the role of beliefs in educational investment decisions and the role of educational interventions in fostering skills in childhood. She will join Hertford in 2018 as an Associate Professor and Tutor in Economics having been a post-doctoral research fellow at University College, London.
Geography: Dr Louise Slater
Dr Slater completed her PhD at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of St Andrews in 2014. She subsequently held positions at Queen Mary College, University of London, and the University of Iowa before taking up the position of Lecturer in Geography at Loughborough University in 2017. Her research focuses on understanding and predicting changes in floods and fluvial systems in the context of contemporary shifts in climate and land cover. She will join Hertford in 2018 as Fellow and Tutor in Geography.
