Hertford’s North American tour – join us!

This spring, Hertford will be on the road hosting a series of events across North America – in Washington DC, New York City, Boston, Toronto, Dallas, Boulder and San Francisco.

Whether you live in the area or this provides a prompt for a trip, we hope that we will have the chance to see many of you at one – or more! – of these events. Hertford’s Principal, Will Hutton, will be in Washington DC, New York City, Boulder and San Francisco, and Julia Thaxton and Anna Baskerville will be on the road too. There are over 900 alumni in North America, and these occasions provide a great chance for you to make connections and new friends.

Saturday 9 April – Washington, DC
We’re holding a dinner at The Capital Grille (601 Pennsylvania Ave NW) from 7.30 pm. The date coincides with the University of Oxford’s Alumni Weekend in North America, which will include a drinks reception at the Library of Congress with Louise Richardson, the new Vice-Chancellor.

Monday 11 April – New York City, NY
A drinks reception with canapés at alumna Helen Mumford Sole (Geography, 1982) and her husband Peter’s home on West 13th St, 6pm–8.30pm.

Thursday 14 April – Boston, MA

Monday 18 April – Toronto, ON
Allan Sternberg (BCL, 1973) will host a drinks reception with nibbles at his offices (Ricketts, Harris LLP, 181 University Ave) from 6pm–8pm.

Tuesday 17 May – Dallas, TX

Thursday 19 May – Boulder, CO
Hosted by alumnus Mark Herrmann (PPE, 1986) and his wife Cherine in their home with sunset views, we’ll be holding a drinks reception with canapés at Wildwood Lane from 6pm–8.30pm.

Monday 23 May – San Francisco, CA
Informal drinks get-together at Novela cocktail bar on 662 Mission Street from 6pm – 8pm.
