Hertford forensics expert
4 September 2013
Generations of Hertford undergraduates who have enjoyed Dr Peter Bull’s ‘Forensic Geography’ special option may have noticed him in the news today. Scientic evidence from the Fellow and Tutor in Geography at Hertford was instrumental in securing a conviction for the murder in 2000 of Rachel Manning. Peter, a forensics expert dubbed ‘the father of geo-science forensics in the 1990s’, worked pro bono for the BBC Rough Justice programme, whose investigation led to the quashing of the initial conviction.
