Bridge Celebration Access Event
24 April 2013
Hertford’s ‘Bridge of Sighs’ (c.f. our FAQs) might seem always to have been part of Oxford’s visual and architectural identity, but it is in fact not quite 100 years old. Celebrations for the centenary will begin in earnest on Friday 27 September, when the College will hold a one-off Access Event, inviting 10 state schools to bring 10 pupils each for a day of academic sessions and admissions information. Participants will choose between sessions, delivered by Hertford Tutors and Lecturers, on the sciences, the humanities and the social sciences, and will be offered lunch, free of charge, in the hall. The Access Event is for students in Y12 and 13 and grants towards the cost of travel will be made to all schools selected to take part.
