Academic Champion for Public Engagement
9 February 2017
We are very proud to announce that Dr Alison Woollard, Fellow and Tutor in Biochemistry, has been appointed the university’s Academic Champion for Public Engagement.
This is both a recognition of Alison’s own work in bringing research to a wider public, and her academic leadership in the field. On her appointment, Alison said: ‘It is a fantastic time to become Academic Champion. The University is clearly committed to raising the profile of Public Engagement with Research through its Strategic Plan and there could not be a more important time for this.’ We wish Alison every success in this exciting new role!
