Third-year Medicine student
Oxford is a hotbed of misconceptions – it is often seen as an overly competitive place and, whilst I cannot say it is always easy, my tutors and fellow students at Hertford have always looked out for me and my best interests throughout the last 2 years.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and a large part of that has been down to the unique opportunities that the college system, and university as a whole has to offer. This year, for example, I will be travelling to Tanzania as part of my third year FHS project to carry out a combined project constituting a systematic review on paediatric sarcomas and a study into the capacity of Muhimbili hospital (Dar es Salaam) to cope with malignancies.
