“I had hoped to perform in student theatre at university, but on discovering my limitations as an actor I sidestepped into writing, directing and producing – and editing the drama pages of The Oxford Student – before taking a production up to the Edinburgh festival in my final year. Upon graduating I spent a challenging six months trying to get a ‘foot in the door’ of the creative industries without having any obvious personal connections. My first job was as a floor runner on The Disney Channel before landing an unpaid internship with a British Film Producer. After a year of living frugally I left to work briefly as a teaching assistant in a secondary school – before returning and assisting on the Pierce Brosnan film ‘Butterfly on a Wheel’. I stayed with the same Producer for almost ten years – gradually taking on more responsibility and learning the trade. I typically work now as a freelance Physical Producer within the US Studio system, and have been lucky enough to collaborate on several occasions with Scott Free Films, the production company of acclaimed Director Ridley Scott. I’m very happy to meet with anyone considering a career in the Film and TV Drama industries.”
