Ms Anna Alekseyeva
Mann Senior Scholar in Geography
Anna is a DPhil candidate in Geography. Her thesis investigates social and physical planning in the Soviet Union from the 1960s through the 1980s. Anna has presented papers based on her research at local and international conferences and has taught undergraduate tutorials for core and elective subjects at the School of Geography and the Environment. In addition to her academic research, Anna has written about Russian politics and urban planning for news outlets, including GlobalPost, Foreign Policy, openDemocray and Prospect Magazine. She has been an ESL tutor for the Jacari tutoring programme for the past three years.
