Student Life

Student life at Hertford is active and vibrant. Students belong to either the Junior or Middle Common Room.

Undergraduate students belong to the Junior Common Room or JCR.  The term "JCR" refers both to a physical room - where entertainment and leisure facilities are provided 24 hours a day - and also to the undergraduate student body, which meets in the JCR and supports a wide range of activities, including the election of representatives (e.g. the "JCR President") on College committees.  Graduate students belong to the Middle Common Room or MCR, which performs similar functions for the graduate community.  Both the JCR and the MCR have their own websites, which can be reached from links in the menu on the left.
