Royal Geographical Society honour

Professor of Geography David Thomas has been appointed Vice-President for Research and Higher Education at the Royal Geographical Society. It’s an important role at an important time for the subject – and Dave will have the Research Excellence Framework and ongoing discussions about the place of geography in the school curriculum, as part of his portfolio.
Dave is himself a graduate of Hertford’s popular and highly successful Geography school. His work focuses around issues of climate and landscape change.
