Hertfordians in the General Election
9 May 2015
Four Hertfordians were standing for Parliament in Thursday’s General Election: between them, they form a version of the overall results in miniature.
Congratulations to the three elected MPs: Jeremy Quin (History, 1987) and Anne Marie Morris (Law, 1976) who won Horsham and Newton Abbott respectively for the Conservatives, and Bridget Phillipson (History & Modern Languages, 2002), who won Houghton & Sunderland South for Labour. And commiserations to Steve Webb (PPE, 1983) who lost his Liberal Democrat seat in Thornbury and Yate.
