Paavan Buddhdev
Hi! My name is Paavan and I’m about to begin the fourth year of the Computer Science and Philosophy degree.
Studying at Hertford has been an incredible opportunity; I feel so grateful and honoured to be taught by tutors who are so knowledgeable and who dedicate so much time to our learning. During my time at college I have been part of the JCR Committee, the Chapel and the college choir. I have also cultivated one of my passions since coming to Oxford: performing magic. Since I was 13 I loved close-up magic and card tricks, and, during my first-term at Oxford, I was hired to work at a charity ball. This escalated hugely, and I’ve been lucky enough to perform for 20+ colleges, as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on the Varsity skiing trip.
My favourite thing to do in college is sit on OB quad (when its sunny!) with a book (and occasionally a cat) in my lap; I’m looking forward to chatting with Hertford alumni to hear about their memorable experiences and learn what were their favourite things to do when at college.
