Accommodation
Undergraduates are provided with college accommodation for all years of their study. Not all colleges are in a position to provide this offer which significantly reduces living costs.
All first year undergraduates are housed on the main college site. Student study rooms come complete with bed, bedside table, desk, desk chair, wardrobe, telephone, internet connection and wash basin. Pillows, duvets and bed linen are not provided. Rubbish bins are emptied daily and rooms cleaned once a week. You are encouraged to make your room your home but are requested not to bring various electrical items which are deemed a fire hazard. Your room must be vacated at the end of term unless you have permission to remain.
In your second term (Hilary Term) you will be invited by the JCR to ballot for a room for your 2nd year in one of the college annexes. The biggest concentration of 2nd year housing is in South Oxford around Folly Bridge. There are also a number of houses in North Oxford. You can choose not to ballot for a room and live in private rented accommodation but this will cost a great deal more.
